2016 TRETC

First, we will elicit teachers and administrator likes and dislikes about PD and discuss how to best promote collaboration among students and among teachers. Then we will present a set of best practices for promoting collaboration. Second, we will present the design challenge of infusing more purposeful collaboration into your school and classroom using a blended model and then we will review the ground rules and constraints. Participants will spend a majority of the time working on the challenge and present a storyboard or concept poster to the group. Third, groups will share an elevator pitch of their product. We will close with a discussion of design themes that emerged as well as discipline-specific methods for promoting collaboration.
