Teachers as 'Edu-preneurs' LIMITED
Limited Capacity seats available

As the winners of Startup Weekend Edu, the Project Playground team has spent the past year and a half developing and piloting our software tool to measure and improve students' collaboration skills in the elementary school classroom. As educators who recognized collaboration as a pain point in the classroom, the team has reached out to the many resources available to us in the Pittsburgh region in order to turn our idea into a real product that is useful and usable not only in our own classrooms, but in others' classrooms as well.

Teachers are naturally innovators, and during this interactive panel (featuring myself as moderator, Aileen Owens from the South Fayette Township School district where our product was piloted, a representative from the Sprout Fund's EdTech Refinery Program, and a business counselor from the Chatham Center for Women's Entrepreneurship), we will engage the audience in thinking about how they too can try their hand at "Edu-preneurship" as a way to bring their ideas to life.

This panel is NOT a product pitch--while we will be talking about our software in the context of "Edu-preneurs", our focus is on the process.
